The People’s Manifesto

Six pillars, built from what residents told us — not written for you from a boardroom.

⚠️
THE CHALLENGE

Unequal bursaries, poor roads, joblessness, rising insecurity & mugging, poor water & sanitation, and leaders who go quiet after elections.

🧭
OUR 6-PILLAR PLAN

Bursaries, Infrastructure, Jobs, Security, Water & Sanitation, Accountable Leadership.

🌇
A SECURED FUTURE

A Westlands where every ward — and every family — moves forward together.

🎓Equitable Bursary Allocation
THE PROBLEM

Bursary funds too often favour the well-connected, leaving deserving students from poorer households without support.

OUR SOLUTION
  • Transparent, needs-based allocation across all five wards
  • A public online tracker so families can see how funds are shared
  • Priority support for students with disabilities and orphaned learners
🏗️Infrastructural Development
THE PROBLEM

Broken roads, blocked drainage, and neglected footpaths slow down businesses and flood homes every rainy season.

OUR SOLUTION
  • Priority road and footpath rehabilitation in underserved areas
  • Flood-prone drainage points fixed ahead of every rainy season
  • Upgraded markets, bus stops, and community halls
💼Jobs & Wealth Creation
THE PROBLEM

Too many young people and women in Westlands have the skills and the drive, but no capital and no clear path to work.

OUR SOLUTION
  • A Westlands Youth & Women Enterprise Fund for small business start-ups
  • Partnerships with TVET colleges for practical, job-ready skills
  • Local procurement priority so constituency contracts benefit local businesses
🛡️Safety & Security
THE PROBLEM

As one of Nairobi's busiest business hubs and wealthiest neighbourhoods, Westlands has become a target — mugging and street crime leave residents, workers, and business owners feeling unsafe even in daylight.

OUR SOLUTION
  • Stronger community policing partnerships (Nyumba Kumi) in every ward
  • Improved street lighting and CCTV coverage in business and residential zones
  • Faster coordination between residents, business associations, and police for rapid response
  • Youth engagement programs tackling the root causes of crime, not just its symptoms
💧Enhanced Water, Sewerage & Garbage Cleaning
THE PROBLEM

Unreliable water supply, overflowing sewer lines, and irregular garbage collection affect health and dignity in every ward.

OUR SOLUTION
  • Expanded, reliable water distribution across all wards
  • Modernized sewer lines to end recurring blockages and overflow
  • A scheduled, dependable garbage collection system constituency-wide
🤝Accountable & People-Centered Leadership
THE PROBLEM

Leaders who disappear after the ballot, with public funds spent behind closed doors and no one held to account.

OUR SOLUTION
  • Quarterly public forums in every ward to report progress
  • Published CDF/NG-CDF spending reports, open for anyone to review
  • An open-door constituency office — residents always come first
